Process

What does CSIRO say about shutter material?

A shutter system should be tight fitting, with gaps under 2mm, to keep embers out, and it should be made from non-combustible material. Avoid plastic shutters and flyscreens. Such products melt in a bushfire and add a hazard of their own.

What does the RFS say about preparing a home?

A well prepared home is more likely to survive a bush fire. Even if your plan is to leave early, the more you prepare your home, the more likely it will survive a bush fire or ember attack.

Service area

Which suburbs do you cover?

The Blue Mountains. Five pages are written around one row of the bush fire risk plan each: Katoomba, Blackheath, Leura, Hazelbrook and Faulconbridge. The rest are covered on the same terms.

Do you fit the shutters yourselves?

No. This site is run by a marketing company, which passes each enquiry to an independent licensed local provider. The provider measures, quotes and carries out any work itself; we hold no licence and do none of it.
